Members shared varied perspectives on whether multivitamins are safe to take with HIV medications like Cabenuva, with the overwhelming consensus being to consult directly with an HIV doctor rather than relying on general advice. Several members emphasized the importance of coordinating all medications and supplements through medical providers, with some noting they space out their HIV meds and vitamins throughout the day to avoid potential interactions. A recurring theme was skepticism about the necessity of multivitamins for most people, with many members describing them as largely unnecessary unless prescribed for specific deficiencies or medical conditions like weight loss surgery.

Christopher, that sort of question is always best asked of your HIV doc.

It’s important to ask your doctor - for me it is best to make sure that I have a time gap beteeen my HIV meds and vitamins so I take my hiv meds in am and all other meds in evening

I have to take a few multi vitamins since my weight loss surgery. One is called forceval. Its a multivitamin and mineral complex. I get it from the doctors well the chemist. It comes with side effects. Gives me terrible wind. And makes me run to the toilet. Helen ❤️ x

@A myHIVteam Member I've heard that starting decades ago. And yet I would rather piss out excess than have a deficiency. Now if only I could slow down my penchant for vitamin Ice Cream. LOL
