Does Anyone Else Experience "Vague" Illnesses?

A myHIVteam Member asked a question πŸ’
Olympia, WA

I've been ill for the last couple of weeks, and my PCP has not been able to pinpoint the cause. Usually we look at my meds, but my meds were just updated and adjusted with all three of my Drs having input. I've had days when I've felt bad, but weeks is starting to concern me.

Members connected over the frustrating experience of vague, hard-to-diagnose illness symptoms like extreme fatigue, body pain, digestive issues, and chills without fever, with many sharing that these feelings can persist for weeks despite medical adjustments. Several members offered practical strategies that have helped them cope, including staying well-hydrated, using peppermint and essential oils for digestive and pain relief, smoking cannabis to manage nausea and improve mood and sleep, making dietary changes, and recognizing the strong connection between physical symptoms and emotional or mental health struggles. A recurring theme was the toll that living on multiple medications takes on the body, the importance of gentle movement and self-care when energy allows, and the value of digging deeper into mental and emotional wellness as part of the healing process.

And maybe a combination of the side effects of the medication and perhaps a cold. My medications have made me feel bad for a long time but I've gotten used to it. I smoke cannabis to ward off the nausea and all those side effects. Perhaps you can find a way to circumvent them.

I had all theses issues upon early diagnosis. I do my best to exercise and eat healthy. Rubbing peppermint oil on abdomen area frequently throughout day helps me with any digestive issues and use essential oils Deep Blue for pain and other oils for depression
