What has been your experience with efexor? Ive lost my will to live knowing I infected a handful of good souls, which has prompted my doctor to put me on Effexor. He made it clear its pretty powerful but I dont know anything about these western medications. What has been your experience, good or bad?
@A myHIVteam Member. The emotional rollercoaster that I thought was normal gets blunted by antidepressants. At first that seems abnormal. I liked the drama. But, I can tell it makes me easier to be around. The effect of the antidepressants becomes the new normal. One where you are less likely to clear the room, or harm yourself.

@A myHIVteam Member Effexor is an antidepressant that boosts two types of neurotransmitters (norepinephrine & serotonin). It works for depression & anxiety. I took it for years before winding up on Paxil primarily for anxiety. Medications like Effexor and Cymbalta have a wide range of efficacy for what ails ya'. Have you taken an antidepressant prior to this one?
