Fantastic news on the one hand, but extremely concerning that unnecessary treatment for four years has led to kidney damage.

I would have thought that a doctor would do a second confirmatory HIV antibody test if any person tested positive (to exclude the very small risk of a false positive). This is standard practice in the UK.

I would have been happy with such a bit of news, nice to be able to go off. Remember safe practices now, and feel comfortable to treatments. Preferably not having to take any more. Congratulation, great news.
