@A myHIVteam Member I hear ya brother. While Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, Christmas is my least favorite. Glad for Winter Solstice though.

I don't understand why parents think they are going to gain trust in their kids by perpetuating lies of Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny, Santa, Religion by spewing lies to kids. And then expect them to decide maybe some are not lies.

Greek Mythology is interesting, but it is still mythology.

I personally don't like Christmas songs and I even told my choir director that I wouldn't be singing any this year. Haven't attended any Christmas parties but donated. I am not going to fake feeling festive. I feel great being honest about how I feel today. I didn't celebrate Thanksgiving because when you know the truth about these holidays you can't just go with the lies any longer. Yes the family get togethers but I stayed home. Not participating in the lies.
Oh well I've begun to enjoy my peace. Yes I miss having a companion but some men are needy and that's a turn off for me.
