Vaccination Reactions

Thinking about this because @A myHIVteam Member just talked about a sore arm from vaccination, and partner & I are headed for vaccination today for flu & covid. How many people have a regular reaction to vaccination? I do every time (sore arm, feeling crappy). My partner, on the other hand, rarely has a reaction. I think that if I have a reaction, I needed the vaccination, otherwise the real thing would have been much worse. My partner says, "The reaction means your body was already primed… read more

Again, had every current vac available. Only reaction from flu shot. Gave me slight symptoms. Immune system doing its job. Knock wood, have not had one symptom of anything thus far.

I got both flu and Moderna Spike Covid vaccinations done on Thursday. Friday my Covid arm was sore to touch for the first two days. Flu arm not a problem but still felt under the weather, not sick, but definitely not feeling myself. Saturday night into Sunday I had an early morning sweat, and feeling normal once again. I am going to give it a few weeks before thinking about the RSV shot.

I took the flu vaccine about four days ago and I had no problem. But everyone is different

We were vaccinated 3 mos ago and have had 6 jabs each now - we travel internationally a few times a year and travel in general several times a year so our doc wants us current. We are in the process of scheduling the NEW vaccine since it has been reformulated and plan to take it with our Flu shot - like we did last year. We have had reactions of varying degrees to all the vaccinations and we typically schedule them for a Friday or Saturday in case we feel crappy for a day.
