Members shared overwhelmingly consistent advice for handling toxic people in their lives, with the strongest consensus being to create distance, set firm boundaries, and prioritize your own mental and physical health over trying to change or please someone who drains your energy. Several members opened up about personal experiences with toxic family members, neighbors, and friends, describing how years of attempting to be kind or accommodating ultimately proved futile, with one member sharing how stress from toxic encounters directly worsened their Trigeminal Neuralgia pain. A recurring theme was the hard-won realization that toxic behavior reflects the other person's issues and not your own worth, and that protecting your peace sometimes means walking away from relationships entirely, no matter how difficult that choice may feel.

Let your sanity be known and agree to disagree with the toxic people. Walk away. Even if they live with you. They will get the hint adventure-wily

I remove them from my life. I have a sister that I have not talked to in 26 years, she threw a fit and cut off commication, so I left it at that. Also any friends that are toxic, no matter how close we were, I just eliminate them from my circle of friends. Live it too short to deal with toxic people.. Too bad a realized this so late in life. 😂

Thank you and the reason I posted is because it hits close to home and some of the people that I deal with in my life. I've learned to remove myself and be more of a gentleman but it does create for a lonely existence. I think as time goes on, I've learned to appreciate the quiet and the lessons and just rather stay by the side and watch and hope and pray that people learn and just do the right thing.

Avoid as much as possible. When it's a sibling it's hard
