Are There Any Programs That Help People With HIV With Housing?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

I’m homeless and sleeping in my car and it’s been hard trying to find a place. I have an eviction from the pandemic as well and my credit sucks. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Be resourseful...ask your local HIV agency for help in applying for all government assistance programs that you qualify for.

Ryan White funds housing services including legal, they give money to agency to fund services to cover first last security ect. What they offer varies by State and funding - I’m in Mass

Try and find a private owner. You should be able to get assistance on your security deposit or first month's rent in a lot of places as long as you have employment or a way to pay the rent. Reach out to a social worker and see what type of assistance is available for you. Good luck.
