Members shared deeply personal responses to what they wish the world understood about living with HIV, with an overwhelming call for a cure, compassion, and an end to stigma that still surrounds the diagnosis. Several members emphasized the need to be seen as whole people rather than defined by their status, describing how HIV doesn't change who they are at their core, how it can happen to anyone regardless of how it was contracted, and expressing frustration with being labeled as disabled or treated differently. A recurring theme was the desire for love, respect, acceptance, and education to combat misinformation, paired with practical needs like affordable medication and quality healthcare that treats them with dignity rather than judgment.
