Has Any American Retired In Costa Rica, Panama, Or Mexico?
I’m curious how or if the drug company that makes Biktarvy helps you financially in that situation?
In Mexico, the govt will pay for your biktarvi if you are a resident only. And a bottle of Biktarvi on the black market there I was once told costs about 7 or 8 hundred bucks. And counterfeits of it exist! I’m learning that the reason why usa expats with hiv are so very low is because of problems with refill issues that just make being an expat not very feasible. Not sure about its programs for financial assistance, unfourtunately.
Unfortunately. I had to move back from Mexico to the USA because of this situation. Biktarvi is very expensive in Mexico even on the black market,
I’m finding that out the hard way! If you can find a way to retire in Mexico I would recommend it 1000% percent! Most expats love it . More so than Costa Rica, Belize, etc
That’s very unfortunate to hear. It’s expensive to retire in the US!
Thank you for the reply. Were you able to use Biktarvi's financial help while in Mexico? They currently pay for the remainder of the cost that my insurance doesn't pay. I'm in the US though.
How The Heck Do People Pay For There Meds When On Medicare Advantage Plan!!!
If You Could Retire Anywhere In The World For The Rest Of Your Life And Live Comfortably, Where Would It Be?
