My partner, his mom ,....died of dementia. He moved in with both parents to take care of them to their dying days and to this day never regrets a second of that decision. Please see if you can surround yourself with the support group of caretakers or specifically caretakers who take care of people suffering from dementia. You need to be strong because your mom needs you right now.
I can't speak for everybody I can speak for myself my mom's is 82 years old and she been through a lot with me and continue to love me unconditionally when others wouldn't she's older now she do things that upset me that in the end of the day that's my mom's was always there for me when I had nobody else and I will always be there for her
Everyone's situation with their parents is different. I was just raised to honor and respect my parents but at the same time I totally understand your situation Ron... God bless and have strength in your journey.
Ron, I know this is probably going to seem too obvious and maybe somebody else has already said the same thing, but I think the best approach is to tell your mother that you would like to talk to her and express your feelings honestly and openly. See where that conversation goes. And remember you are allowed to set boundaries.
