Members shared their experiences with the two-month injectable treatment, with most reporting that while it can be painful for the first 24 to 48 hours after injection, the discomfort is manageable and temporary. Several members offered practical tips, including doing light squats after the shot to prevent the medication from sitting in muscles or nerves, and noted that one side may be slightly more uncomfortable due to the thicker consistency of the fluid. A recurring theme was reassurance that the temporary pain is worth it for the convenience and effectiveness of the treatment, with members encouraging each other that any discomfort is brief and not severe enough to discourage continuing.

I've been on bimonthly shots nearly one year now. All in all i'm very satisfied. Usually there's some minor pain following injections but i don't think it's difficult to handle. The fluid in the shot that goes into the right buttocks is thicker and some might experience a little discomfort when injecting it.

I am not taking it yet, but have discussed it with my provider. She told me it does hurt. you get a shot on both sides of your behind at the same time.

Yes, I'm on 2 months. It can be intense for a short time - painful for about 48 hours and then fine. I had my shots yesterday and I'm doing pretty well today. I generally do some very light squats after so the meds don't sit in my muscles or nerves.

Maybe for the first 24 hours a little more painful but not enough to want to stop.
