Members opened up about how HIV has profoundly shaped their dating lives, with many sharing that fear of rejection, past hurt, and the weight of feeling like damaged goods have made it difficult to put themselves out there romantically. Several members described finding acceptance and confidence within HIV-positive communities, noting that dating becomes easier when status isn't a barrier, while others shared practical advice like waiting for undetectable results, being selective about partners, and having the disclosure conversation only after trust has been established. A recurring theme was the tension between longing for love and connection while protecting oneself from judgment and rejection, with many members encouraging each other to remember their worth and not let HIV define their capacity to be loved.

Yes it's hard even in this day and time people still have ignorance regarding HIV and are scared they may be infected even with all the information that's available,,but life for me goes on it gets lonely sometimes not having someone to love to share my life with but I can't let that still my joy maybe one day love will find me and understand that I'm just a regular person with feelings and lots of love to give💋

Honestly, I have family im always looking after and that's a lot on its own so most people don't like the baggage and that's fine it's mine. But im scared mostly to get hurt or put my heart on the line. Someone told me, love feels good. Funny all it gave me was hurt and hiv/cocci that's why I im single.

For me i guess i don't pay it much since gayandbimenof Fredericksburg and also Fahass im sure i could get my freak on anytime most of them are hiv positive and we don't talk about it when we have family sessions. We just have a great socializing relationship like last we got together at the wine venue down here in locust Grove ,and of course im not always feeling it but im getting better at it now if something happens im good me Ralph have our own things going on so we are good. I won't allow hiv to stop me from loving or living im sorry my emotions are not there for it anymore. But i have a tumor on my pituitary gland so i have really bad mood swings. But i hope you can get back to dating again.

My dating life not so much. My sex life is something else. I go on dates when asked. Nothing wrong with meeting new people. You can kinda tell early if your going to have to have the talk with him or her. I don't engage in sex as much just because of the climate we live in. Too much of a legal liability IMO.
