..at 63yrs old and almost 30yrs hiv+, I have been fortunate in my health, and have had two good doctors whom i could tell everything. Appreciating that any care giver we have cannot assist me effectively if i witheld what I had been up to. I have even shared w my long time dentist.

I shared drug use, binge habits, relationship issues, job hi's and low's and grief. I dug deep into my bad habits at times, and was quite open even w strangers as to why I was on-line chatting w them or meeting up for anon encounters.

My intention in sharing here is to encourage open and honest communication in whatever form you prefer with those we count on for support. The reason i joined this blog several yrs ago was to be connected to others livig w hiv and related issues. I then promptly allowed myself to get frustrated w the virtual aspects of blogging life and missing real affection, touching, and face to face time w the people in my life.

I live in Hudson Hts NYC, and surrounded by other humans....spent the past few years looking after some of them in bet returning to work and assisting a boyfriend at the time out of ny housing authority apartment into a new apartment hosting low income individuals.

Am open to chatting further, and hope that you find what I have shared useful in some way. Thank you.

“This is not a death sentence. This is nothing shameful. This is nothing embarrassing. It is a part of the amazing person you are and have always been. It’s one pill a day. Use this power for good and to advocate. We love you , always. Keep fighting and help those who have not yet found their voice. Be the person you needed before you found your support system”.

You get what you give. Heard that many years ago and it's so true.
