Would be interested in connecting and talking with those who receive HIV medications through Medicaid after retiring. I’m not there yet, but will be in several years, and would like to know what to expect. Thank you!
IL medicaid pays for everything.
Thank you!
I'm in Pa. and we have what's called Special Pharmaceutical Benefits Program! I have a Medicare Advantage insurance plan and never pay a penny as this program picks up all co-pays, doughnut hole cost and anything else the insurance company won't pay for! After the initial application if approved you must recertify every 6 months! Sadly it's different in every state!
Thanks Evan. I’m in Georgia. I hope it is the same here.
Hi Sebego - I also just read your latest post. Sending my thoughts and prayers to you on a speedy recovery from removing the cancer. You seem to have very positive attitude about it which is great. When you have a minute I would like to pick your brain about receiving HIV meds on Medicaid. When I finally do retire (I’ll be 57 next month and the plan is to retire when I’m 65) I’d like to know if Medicaid covers the entire cost of the medicine or will I have out-of-pocket amount to meet? Take care and thank you for your response.
