I'm a nurse, and I have the possible opportunity to work in a covid facility for $25 MORE an hour than I make now. I had my first 2 vaccines and I can get my booster next month. But I still don't know if it's worth it. (I'm super healthy besides the HIV, but I know healthy people die from covid too)
@A myHIVteam Member I'm definitely getting my booster shot. Just can't get it til next month
So, I didn't take that job, but I do work in the covid unit at a nursing home. I tested positive for covid on my first day (go figure), but thankfully I never had the first symptom, so I was able to work since they have a covid unit.
I'll keep you in my prayers if you decide to do this. Chances are you'll be ok, but there IS a risk, so remember no amount of money can replace good health.
That's a rough question. I think following your heart and passion will lead you to the answer. Stay strong, and if you need someone to talk to, hit me up my number is (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators). Marcus
I agree with Evan.
