Members shared mixed feelings about the growing role of robots and automation in daily life, with some enthusiastically embracing smart home features like Alexa and Ring, while others expressed concerns about job displacement and the idea of robots handling personal care or healthcare. Several members highlighted practical uses they already rely on, including automated routines for household tasks, Amazon's Astro robot, and Boston Dynamics innovations like Spot, with one member noting that automation has been especially helpful for living independently. A recurring theme was cautious optimism, recognizing that robotics are already woven into modern life, yet many prefer human connection when it comes to intimate aspects like medical care.
