Do you have life insurance or final burial plan? did you know they now have life insurance policies for people who have HIV? You may have to ask around a little bit but I have a life insurance policy so that my family will not have to go through a lot of hassle when it comes time to cremate me and scatter my ashes. I also have a medical power of attorney already chosen as well. It's better to be prepared and never need it than to need it and not have it. This comes up as my sister-in-law just… read more
Mine is only $35 a month from farmers insurance
YES! I have been telling people that there IS life insurance for people with HIV. A simple Google search of "HIV life insurance" brings up a lot of options.
Not to bad an idea I guess
I also have two different life insurance policy. One I got way back in 1997 through Wells Fargo with AmericanBankers Insurance. That one I pay $16.00 a month for. It started out for $50,000. but it dropped to $25,000 when I turned 60, and when I turn 70 it takes a final drop to $12,500. My other policy is with Mutual of Omaha for $7,000 and I am paying $38.80 a month for that one and been thinking about upping that policy to $10,000 and it would up my monthly premium to $50.00 a month if I decide to do that. When looking for life insurance try and find a policy that they ask you No questions, No exams. These policies you can usually get once you turn 40 years old mainly and it is good because all other insurance companies that ask for answering a few health questions will ask if you have been diagnosed with HIV or AIDS and when answering yes to that question they either will not insure you or they will double and some even triple the monthly cost for life insurance, and yes, at least here in the United States they are allowed to bill us more money per month to get life insurance if they know you have HIV, Cancers and a few other medical issues. It was one reason why we never were able to get life insurance for my wife because she was born with lots of health issues and we just could not afford the price they wanted to insure her. So, yes... do look around for any insurance company that will give you life insurance with no health questions asked.
I have life insurance and MPOA. But State Farm doesn't want to increase my insurance at this time. Will shop around so thanks for the info!
