I know someone who catheterises themselves, ever since bladder cancer, so this is only second-hand but they’ve told me that it’s more uncomfortable than anything and, as with anything, gets easier with time and practice. The hardest thing, they’ve said, is having to make sure he has a catheter with him wherever he goes, he now keeps some spares at various friends houses/work/in the car... just in case. There are sadly the downsides of possible UTIs so keeping things clean is paramount, and ensuring you get medical advice as soon as things don’t look or feel right but, hey, anyone can get them. They should train you correctly for little pain.

i had to use them after a hemroid operation and when i had bladder cancer,just lube them up good and slide them in , after a few times it didn't bother me very much, some people use them for kink

LOL cathing for kink now that's a new one to me whereas about 3 years ago I was not aware of the practice of " sounding " so I guess what ever trips one's trigger .
