Members responded to the question of wearing an HIV-positive t-shirt in public with a wide range of perspectives shaped by geography, safety concerns, and personal readiness to disclose their status. Several members said they would proudly wear the shirt in supportive environments like LGBTQ neighborhoods or awareness events, while others expressed fear of judgment, violence, or unwanted questions, especially in rural or politically hostile areas. A recurring theme was the tension between wanting to fight stigma and the very real need to protect oneself from discrimination, hate crimes, and invasion of privacy.

I solved that problem by retiring to Hawaii. Low on stress. Very concerned with equality. Yes the Continent is full of hate and anger these days. I knew it would happen the moment the Republicans nominated Voldemort for President. What I am seeing in the US is frightening. Just glad I live here and not on the Continent anymore. People used to say California is populated with nuts. Now the nuts are running the asylum.

Seriously, Good for you. Hate crimes have risen 50% this past year. People are very angry these days. I don't advertise.

No offence, if that works for you; I think it's GREAT! but I would never ware any sort of advertisement promoting my status anymore then I would wear anything promoting my sexual preference. Not because I'm ashamed of either one, it's just that I know people. They will pre-judge you the second they lay eye's on you, & will think of you what they want. I see no need to add ammo too their FIRST IMPRESSION. They say, never judge a book by it's cover, but we know that people always do.
