Members shared what they most wish others understood about HIV, with the strongest consensus being that undetectable equals untransmittable (U=U), meaning people who take their medication consistently and maintain an undetectable viral load cannot transmit the virus to anyone. Several members emphasized that HIV is not spread through casual contact like coughing or sneezing, that it affects people of all backgrounds and orientations (not just specific stereotyped groups), and that with proper medication it is a manageable chronic condition rather than a death sentence. A recurring theme was the heavy burden of stigma and misconceptions, with members expressing frustration that despite decades of education and medical advances, people living with HIV still face judgment and misunderstanding when they deserve the same love, support, and dignity as anyone managing a chronic illness.

That once you have no detectable viral load, you cannot transmit it to anyone.. that’s what my doctor told me. Don’t miss any doses of medicine.

That just because the person is your house or you in theirs, it doesnt mean you're going to catch. They can cough, sneeze, have a fever or whatever you're not a danger to them. All drug addicted may have prostituted women are POS! but you might wanna get tested because that sexy hung like horse man you met at the club a month ago and took home does have it. Everything that looks good aint good

Not everyone that has HIV is gay. You can't catch it through casual contact. It's not a death sentence as long as you take your medicine as prescribed.
