How Long Do I Have To Live? How Long Before I Need A Wheel Chair
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

I have been diagnosed with aids related neurological disorder. From what I can tell I am between stage 2 and 3. I began noticing the symptoms 4 years ago. Currently, I am having trouble walking straight, I'm also developing tremors. I am suffering from chronic pain from my legs. Also, I have noticed cognitive difficulties.

no not good, but i get where the anger comes from, journal is good, reading books calms me, running outside or walking outside helps too, lifting weights, but not in a gym too intimidating, get the weights at big 5, go home sit in front of a mirror lift, keep looking at yourself, you are you, get in touch with yourself it has alot to do with your self esteem, hang in there keep me posted.

There's no guarantee that will happen. It could get better or worse. Mine got better to a certain level. And has stayed there. Myself, I have HIV dementia proof home. I no longer use a stove, I use induction and a oven with a timer. I'm also careful about things like filling the tub. I bought I manual shift car to keep me engaged while driving. I'd start racking my Dr's brain to see what they can do to help you manage your systems. I've been waiting to totally loose my abilities for almost 10 years and it hasn't happened. It's slowed me down, but it's been manageable so far. I had the hand tremors before I started ART, those stopped once I got on Truvada. I have a twitch in my face, but it only happens with certain movements. Check this youtube video out https://youtu.be/xJnulq5yEsw?si=XzE7RDKu9TmQYvOd

It's one of the questions that only God can answer that question. Wish I could give you a more definitive answer. God will see you in through. What's better this life or a life with God. I know what I would choose. God bless you and have great Christmas!!
