The U=U Study.
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

1) This should/may be a hot topic, please be conciderate to all
2) I see many people on this site refer to the U=U study and how HIV can not be passed along. They think they are still safe to have unprotected sex, because they are undetectable. The answer to that is NO, you are not safe to have unprotected sex. You can still get other STI's, but let's stick to just HIV
3) Even though the U=U study has proven that if undetectable, you can not pass the virus on, the key phrase is, "YOU CAN'T… read more

Three Wishes
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

If a genie knocked on your door and said I’m here to give you three wishes however the genie says I can’t take away your HIV or cure it. But all other wishes will be granted. What would you ask for? My first wish would be can you make everyone with hiv not be sad or depressed. My second wish would be can you get rid of the stigma that comes with my disease.and my last wish will be Im giving it to someone on this site who might need the wish more then me🥹

A myHIVteam Member

I can handle my HIV infection. My partner could benefit from a genie correcting 1)psoriatic arthritis 2)immobility 3)incontinence. They are our 3 horsemen of the apocalypse.🧎🏼🧑🏻‍🦽🧑🏾‍🦼

We only have a 40 minute interval for these sessions, unfortunately.... it is limited... so if need be, they can be scheduled weekly. Please let me know ❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗👍💓🌅

Is Their A Stigma Between Poz People When It Comes To Dating Other Poz People?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

I've noticed that some + people here were very hung up on dating and they seem to have a preference to negative people. Is that common? Or is + a plus when it comes to dating because you have commonalities? This is just a question..

For Those Who Have Children And Grand Children. Have You Explained And Talked To Them About Having HIV? And How Did You Do It?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

I have found my self that after explaining to my children, when they were still in high school, and now my grandchildren who are at the age of comprehension, that when I sat and explained to them what Grandpa has they will sit and listen intently and have the look of concern on their faces. The intent I am trying to convey to them is it is okay to have this condition (HIV) because I can manage it with the medicines, the doctor looks at my blood, and I have friends with the same thing who support… read more

Do You Actually Know How To Take Your HIV Medication?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Have you ever read the pamphlet on your medications?
Some medications you can just take them without food.
Other medications you have to take them with food.
for the medications that you have to take with food do you know what kind of food you have to eat to make that drug work at its maximum?
Did you know that some HIV medications work better when you eat fatty foods?
It's important to read those pamphlets that come with the medications then you know how to actually take your medications.

A myHIVteam Member

I understand that meds have that time folded up paper glued to the bottle with stuff written on it. I just don't have a microscope to read any of it.

Bimonthly Injection
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Ive said before many times, the United States is far behind in HIV care
While the United States has just approved a monthly injection, I have noted Europe was doing a bimonhly study
The United Kindom (in Europe) has approved the first bimonhly injection.
The United States was behind the ball with U=U for 3 years.
The United States was behind in studying a monthly injection.
The United States is now behind in a bimonthly injection.
Sounds like the United States just doesn't care about HIV… read more
