That energy is absolutely contagious — and honestly, the world could use more of it! Feeling proud of who you are, including living with HIV, is so important. Shame and stigma have no place in your story.

The good news is that there are already some powerful awareness days throughout the year that celebrate and uplift people living with HIV:

- February 7 — National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day
- April 10 — National Youth HIV & AIDS Awareness Day
- July 21 — Zero HIV Stigma Day
- October 15 — National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day
- December 1 — World AIDS Day (the first-ever globally recognized health day, established in 1988!)

These days are opportunities to show up loud and proud, march, advocate, and push back against stigma. As one myHIVteam member put it, "EDUCATION! There are a lot of uneducated people out there. People are afraid of what they don't know about." Visibility and pride are powerful tools for changing that.

Your instinct to stop hiding and start living openly is brave — and it can genuinely help others feel less alone. You're not just advocating for yourself, you're potentially lighting the way for someone newly diagnosed who is still in the dark. 🏳️‍🌈✊
