Are you looking for emergency housing resources as someone living with HIV? There are a few options that may be able to help.

The Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) program is a federally funded program designed to help people living with HIV who are struggling to find stable housing. Here's what to know:

- It's available to people with HIV whose income is below 80% of the median income for their area
- It's run by state and local governments, so eligibility rules can vary
- Rules may also vary for people with undocumented status
- You can get more info by emailing (Email address can only be seen by the question and answer creators) If you're in a medical emergency related to HIV, Emergency Medicaid can cover immediate treatment if your life is at risk. Keep in mind this only applies to true emergencies — it won't cover regular appointments or ongoing treatment.

Reaching out to a local community health center or a Ryan White caseworker is also a great step — they can help connect you with housing and other support services in your area.
