When I was diagnosed it took me about a week to call my best friend and tell her. We have been friends for 30 years. I was terrified. When she answered the phone I couldn't even find the words. Through tears I asked her if she would love me no matter what. Her answer was... for life. We had shared so much over 30 years and telling her was the hardest words I have ever spoken.
