I am a mobile phlebotomist and when I have clients that bruises is pretty much a hematoma I always tell them pretty much I feel like the dehydrated so I always sell patient clients to drink alkaline water like a couple of days maybe a couple of days before doing blood work, it helps out with a vein makes a little bit more healthier and juicier for phlebotomist not to you sometimes if a phlebotomist is searching for a vein while the needle is in sometimes they’ll bruise in that manner sometimes being dehydrated so I always tell people will be way before you start doing bloodwork. I’ll have to do bloodwork, even if it’s a week out drink water beforehand so that your veins are healthier and you’ll be good. I hope that’ll help. Here in the states you can get alkaline water anywhere water is sold.
I drink it occasionally. However it a water you don’t want it to be your consistent go to.
Yes bruising is okay it happens when the phlebotomist misses the vain or you moved. It will go away in about a week.

As a Phlebotomist we by law only have 2 try’s to get your blood, sometimes having to pull lot of tubes can cause this to happen, but I would say the same as a Phlebotomist if it’s a new person or they seem not to be confident then we as patients can ask for someone else or you see someone that has pull your blood you can ask for them sometimes people are dehydrated and can be bruised also, I always tell my patience to drink alkaline electrolyte water a couple of days before doing bloodwork sometimes it helps out with your vein so you’re not dehydrated and the water is healthy for you for other parts of your body weed on it very good water taste beautiful like everyone with blood work blessings all

1- yes a hematoma is normal DEPENDING on person and meds
It’s the Size that would be concerning
2- if you have a competent person
There should be none to a very small one ( Again depending on person and meds )

If this was a large one do not use them again - as the patient you have that right.

I do not put up with attitudes,
You are allowed one attempt in each arm - after that get another person - period
I also do Not allow straight needs butterfly only
