Hola saludo desde lima Perú siendo 9:35pm estoy sintiendo mucha impotencia y coraje de tener que depender de pastillas para "sobrevivir"
Well, I was a very healthy person, everything was fine until a bad man infected me, but I never imagined it because I wasn't careful. It didn't occur to me to ask for his medical records. I was diagnosed with HIV in January of this year, 2026. It had already progressed, and I feel so much anger and helplessness at having to depend on pills. I almost forgot why I never had to take pills for anything or go to the hospital; I was very healthy. I'm struggling with my thoughts and strong emotions. Is… read more

Oh girl your going thru the what if phase it seems .
But let's face facts like you I could have been infected by an ex but then I could have been infected by sharing a needle.....
But as my late husband said no matter the method ,I have it and have to deal with the consequences of it .....
So just take your meds on schedule ( oy vey trying to get husband on my med schedule instead of taking his meds " whenever I remember " was like trying to find hens term .
But I finally did :) .
Just take care of yourself and if and when others want to get involved in your health care they will because they will.start asking questions :) .
@A myHIVteam Member, may I suggest you start seeking a way to become comfortable with syringes as regular blood draws are part of routine HIV care. I used to be terrified myself, so can relate. Do you have access to a therapist?
I still have to take 5 😪 but I suppose that later on I'll only have to take one, at least I hope so!
Yo aún debo de tomar 5 😪 pero supongo qué más adelante ya me tocará solo una al menos eso espero !
Our medicos have leaned into the largest muscles, so our butts. :-)

Yeah at first it is hard but then you will see it is now part of life you didn't want.
How to get over the feeling is just living uour life everyday as normal (yes I know it is hard to fo) but you will get there.
Stay on your Regiments (medications)
If you are eligible you can get on the monthly or every two months Injections 💉 . Will have to talk to your HIV Care Provider.
Next year there will be the same Cabenuva Injections 💉 at a stronger dosage that will be every 4 months Injections 💉.
Which is great. I am in the every 2 months injections 💉 and actually I prefer the Injections 💉 more than the pills 💊 that have and give you side effects which is why I decided for the Injections 💉.
It is or may not be suitable for everyone that is why you have to speak to your HIV Care Provider about your medications and also the Injections and see which is better for you.
I hope this helps you some.
