Why was that specific win important to you, and how did you celebrate it (even if you just celebrated in your head)?
There were long stretches where I barely functioned, no structure, no motivation, isolated most of the time. But I’m still here. I didn’t disappear. I didn’t completely give up, even when it felt like everything in me wanted to shut down.
And recently, I actually entered a PHP (partial hospitalization program), which for me was a big step. It meant admitting I needed help and doing something about it instead of staying stuck.
That might sound small to someone else, but for me, staying alive and taking even one step forward has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
I didn’t really celebrate it… but maybe just being here and trying is the celebration.
