Hi friends in the HIV Team, I want to share a little about how I’m feeling
Right now I’m going through a really difficult time. I can’t leave the house because I truly don’t have any money at all. I once lent some money to a friend, but it has never been returned
At the moment I’m stuck at home with my family, but the environment is very toxic and it makes my mental and emotional state even more exhausted. It feels like I’m trapped and I don’t have anywhere to go or anyone to lean on.

Just going out for walks daily can help you escape. For a bit. Who knows you might meet someone in the process. Unfortunately I’m in the states. So, I don’t know of any resources for you. If you are on meds ask your physician for other agencies that provide other services. Also here in the states there are places where mostly women can go to escape hostile environments. Maybe there’s something like that.
Hello, good afternoon. Remember that you can't control what's already happened. You have the virus; it's already there. Don't dwell on it. But you can control what will happen to you and how you'll face it. It depends on you to stay strong. Go out and get some sun, exercise—it's free! Take a walk, read a good book. I assure you it will clear your mind, and in time, you'll feel much better.
Sometimes illness teaches us to live each day as if it were our last. We learn that material things aren't as important as we thought before. Now we value a good friendship, a good meal, and going out to breathe fresh air more.
Seek strength in God and his son Jesus Christ; they never abandon those who call upon them.
Take heart; we've all been through what you're feeling.
You are strong, and you will get through this in the best way possible.
You are not what happened to you! You are worth ALL of the great things that life has to offer. Find things to do that don't cost money. If the weather is nice, take a walk, sit outside, take time out to find out what you love to do. A hobby maybe? May I suggest a GREAT book called "Let Them" by Mel Gibbons. Excellent book! Do things & listen to things that build you up, encourage you & inspire you. Know your value & know that you are worth it! Make the decision to be happy & LIVE! I don't know what your faith is but my relationship with God, prayer & trusting in Him has been everything to me! It's been over 30 years since my diagnosis and I'm blessed to still be here healthy, positive, joyful & at peace! Be encouraged my friend!
I appreciate everyone saying I’m not alone. Thank you for the support.
But to be honest, what I’m really struggling with right now is my living situation. I’m stuck in a very toxic home environment and I don’t even have money to leave the house.
If anyone knows about resources, online work, or any support programs for people living with HIV, please let me know. I’m really trying to find a way to rebuild my life.
