If prices keep going up, I may have to find a nice busy street corner to stand on. Now whether it's panhandling or hoing, we'll see what makes more money LMAO.
Man that is delightful to read @A myHIVteam Member. My neighbor across the street had a seemingly sudden onset of cancer, that hit stage 4 from her start. Glad for the success in treatment that has her recovering. It is nonetheless much more harrowing for her. Nice that HIV is comparatively easier to manage, although management is necessary to have more "feel good" days.
I am right there with you Tim. Prices here have really gone way up. Even at Market Basket. Have seen price hikes on items I normally buy. I am not talking a few cents. Some things have gone up dollars. I think it is pretty sad that I paid more for hamburger meat then I did for filet mignon ( managers special this past week).Hamburger meat cost me over $30 for 6 pounds. I got 6 filet mignon for less then $30. I get the filets when they are on special they are the perfect size for me. Buying steak I ended up wasting a good part of it because it's to much for me. Although my girls ( my pups) love it when I have extra. I am very lucky I have some very good neighbors. Ever since last February spending a month in the hospital ( took massive heart attack after a routine procedure) i found out how good these neighbors are. They went to a couple of the churches and told them what I was going through. The churches are so good to me providing me with vegetables, eggs, and canned goods. The neighbors are so supportive I come home on any given day from chemo and I will find bags of food at my door. That being said I still have to spend a lot on groceries ( special diet) plus as you said having a gut is not fun. Let's hope prices go down in the near future.
I used to buy groceries in one place. Now I buy some items in some stores and others in various others.
I’m so grateful that I know how to budget and use coupons and make my menu according what’s in season and on sale!
