The question I am asking is does weight fluctuate with HIV? Like gain and loss?
I stay right around 160 lbs and would like to lose 10 more yet I feel my weight fluctuates yet I do my best to eat heathy and exercise
Back in early 1992 I weighed 165 lbs. in 1995 when I got an AIDS diagnosis I was down to 92 lbs and on a wheel chair.
In 1995 the new protease inhibitor saquinavir was approved by the FDA. In about the latter part of 1996 the wasting syndrome started going away and I started to gain weight.
Since then my weight has fluctuated between 140 and 145. I do have a gym membership and try to go 3-4 times a week for a couple of hours each time.
Good health to you.
Don't die!😛🤗
Mine has gone up, I now have an official dad bod. My doctor tells me to die, but doesn’t mention that bicyarvy make you gain weight.
@A myHIVteam Member It's really a matter of your calorie to activity levels. Most of my non-poz friends are very overweight, in spite of previously very physically fit in high school and college. Clean eating, smart portions and healthy activity will be your friends no matter what else is occurring in your life. If you like eating, go lift weights - so that your body stores those extra calories as muscle, rather than fat. As an aside, 420 may not be helping insofar as healthy eating is concerned - but, everyone's gotta figure out what works best for their particular situation. Hugz, Brad
