Members responded warmly to the question 'Whom do you love?' with a beautiful mix of self-love, family bonds, and furry companions. Several members shared that learning to love themselves has been a meaningful journey, while many named children, grandchildren, spouses, siblings, and beloved pets as the hearts of their lives. A recurring theme was finding love in community and connection, with many members expressing care for one another and a desire to spread love even in difficult times.

I am doing my best to love myself. Which is not that loving account has a spending limit or even a top value. I love my husband, and appreciate the man he is. I love my fellows in local government. I don't intend this post to be that lengthy though so I'll leave names out. But each has wonderful talents. And flaws, just like I do. But I love them, and appreciate them anyway.

Regret does no good unless it helps us evolve to become our better selves. We all got to this moment where I am writing this, and subsequently you are reading this. I see that evolution in my friends and family; in some I seem destined to observe but not know. It took me decades to appreciate the good things my dad did for me that were invisible to me at the time, but are so clear in hindsight.

Some shoutouts in the hopes of seeing them hear again. My friend Paul in the southwest ( @A myHIVteam Member) hasn't been here for a time. And yet his sharing his history to his present has really helped me relax into being a PLWH. And also a shared life in retirement; and what we are doing and experiencing.

Thanks

SULTRY is the word of the day, and not in the erotic way. Yowzers its humid. I did manage to swim my trash out to the roadside early today. And swam out and back to bring it, and the then delivered US Mail out of the mailbox at the end of my driveway. OK, perhaps swimming is a bit of an overstatement. But ya'all get my drift right? So focus today so far has been what I do when we have a Winter Blizzard. I appreciate this humid day as well. All the green growing in abundance now around us gives off moisture (which in some cases it struggles to pull out of the ground). Thankfully we've had decent enough rain. We've only needed to do a little supplemental watering for flowers and our vegetable gardens this year. But the grass growing has slowed somewhat, which of course means less frequent mowing. How is that a problem?

The cool of a midwestern basement is a delight (as long as I have a window nearby).

I wish my team here finds at least points of delight today. On the road until next week so peace till then.

I love my husband of 40 years, my friends and family, and the world in general (though it's hard to do so right now), but I try to find a piece of wonder every day. Be it in nature, people, or art.
