Well as an old-timer back in the day of Larry Kramer and the activism in New York City I can say that , yes I am concerned about things like cancer and death itself. I have buried many a friend a brother a sister ....in the years of AIDS and it still continues as i continue burying them. Side effects linger and other things like kidney failure cancer, and heart disease , osteoporosis, neuropathy ...etc....arise. So no, there's no easy answer but yes I do concern myself ,...which is why I'm here.🌈♥️🌈

I'm already have cancers . Had some removed
I do already have a 15-year history of skin cancers, squamous and basal cell carcinomas but thankfully no melanoma. However, these are unrelated to my HIV. They are due to my skin type and being a native Floridian and my Glory Days basking in the Sun. In my late 40s and now at 58, that all started catching up to me. In fact, just two weeks ago I had surgery to remove a squamous cell carcinoma on my face using Mohs surgery.
I don't worry about it too much. I just take precautions like wearing sunblock and UPF 50 clothing, especially when I'm out cycling. And of course, I get regular 6-month checkups with my dermatologist.
