The 2024 retrovirus conference ended this week and there was some promising news. They found out the drugs Islatravir and lenacapavir taken together once a week worked just as well as once a day ARVS. To me this is good news since I really hate taking pills everyday. Yes there are studies going on now for 2 shots a year for treatment.

This is great news Brad. Thank you for sharing this. Like you, I would much rather take 52 pills then 365. I will be making a note to ask my doctor about this. Yes, I would definitely take it if the studies bear out it's efficacy against HIV.
I would also add that I would be very interested to know about any adverse effects, specifically on the kidneys and bone. I am on my current medication for the very reason that it is safer for my kidneys and bone health.

it will all depend on your insurance. for instance, some insurances, plus their adap, will cover the cabenuva shots, but my plan pays for it but my adap doesn't.
