This Is For The People In The United States: New To HIV? Do You Know Your HIV Benefits?

I have posted this quite awhile ago, but we have many, many, many, many new members since
Here are some of the benefits (but not all, AND depending on state or agency)
1) Housing help. There is a program called HOPWA. It will help cover some of your monthly rent or mortgage payments but not all of it. Amount varies by state or HIV agency. Example: say your rent is $1,000 a month. Hopwa may pay the first 3 months of your rent at full amount, leaving you with the other 9 months to pay, or they… read more

Thanx for the information. As a matter of fact, I signed up for utility bill and rent assist through HOPWA yesterday. I live in CA. and I am greatfull for all of the services available for help. Prodject Angel Food delivers delicious and healthy microwave meals.

That is correct. Not all states offer the same services. Not even different agencies in the same state don't offer the same thing.
If you don't ask, you won't know. So if you have a need, ask! Your medical case worker will do their best to find help!
