Dating With HIV

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Washington, DC

I’m a 30 year old male and was diagnosed with HIV in 2020 and till now have so many questions on dating with HIV. Would be interested to learn more about how it’s like for you guys and how you are managing because i think i’m ready to date again but as you may relate to the challenges involved with that.

The whole disclosure thing before anything can go down can be very awkward and uncomfortable

@A myHIVteam Member & @A myHIVteam Member. As long as you are undetectable, you are safe for a hookup. It is not the responsibility of those with HIV to guard the public from risky behavior. Those engaging in risky behavior know the stakes, or at least they should. Either way, if you are undetectable, you are doing the responsible thing.
