Honestly, I Don’t Think So & I’m Angered By It. There are MANY senior citizens/ homeless that in most cases if Not are more than likely receiving substandard care if any at all. 🤬🤬🤬

Fighting for adequate healthcare in an overburdened system is how the system saves money, at the expense of those who are most in need. ☹️

Good question @A myHIVteam Member. People with cognitive disabilities need an advocate to help them negotiate their healthcare. It's difficult enough WITHOUT disability!

I am aware of the many issues of people who are living with the virus who
are not treated the same because of intellectual disabilities

I don't think the average person at risk knows they are. I believe more testing is needed and more sexually active people need to go on PrEP once they learn their status & they aren't using condoms. Women on birth control should be talked to about their HIV risks and the advantages of being on PrEP. Medical care in America is reactive and needs to pivot to proactive.
