How Can We Empower Individual Living With HIV To Take An Active Role In Advocacy And Destigmatization Efforts Within Their Communities?
Start by not hiding it. Everyone I know knows my status. They see I'm a good person and they like me. That's a start.
Or....VOTE.... all those Who are opposed to funding HIV science, programs and advocacy...........OUT!!!
@Happyday I can relate with this. That's why I usually tell the person that I will not treat them any different because of their lifestyle choices getting diabetes and heart disease. Once they get that warm fuzzy feeling, I say BTW I'm HIV undetectable.
@A myHIVteam Member Iβm afraid for people that I love to turn their back on me because of my status. In reality, I know that there will be those people so I just sit quiet.
Here is one subject. U=U and that HIV is no can no longer be transmitted through sex. Also people taking medication that they can live a long life. Itβs also sad that people still think that HIV is a Gay Manβs disease. HIV affects all genders and nationalities. You could also volunteer at a local HIV support centre and gain more knowledge on HIV. @A myHIVteam Member great question to ask. ππ
Do You Think It's Okay For ANYONE To Be An HIV/AIDS Advocate Despite Their HIV Status(even Those Living Without The Virus)??
