Several members described finding relief through distraction and mental escape, including listening to music, reading fantasy books, playing video games, taking naps to reset anxiety, riding bikes, going on road trips, and using meditation apps like Calm. A recurring theme was the importance of giving yourself permission to step back, whether through cannabis use, medication like Lexapro, connecting with supportive online communities, or simply shutting out the world for a time to recharge.

I get on a flaky website devoted to helping people cope with illnesses. 🤠.

After reading what others are up against and trying to keep the focus on gratitude and hope, I return to my own life and do the same.
