I didnt have the above issues with it but I hear people on prep have kidney failure and bone density loss and liver issues, if on the med truvada for too long, which is now descovy with the name change, is this true?

@A myHIVteam Member I got fat as hell on Truvada. I did have bouts of vomiting. Mostly in the morning. I still have them. Just not as often as I did on Truvada. Long as your undetectable your other numbers will eventually go up. It's been almost 10 years for me and I swing from 400-600. I hit 700 in March. But I really think that had more to with me getting over Covid. I decided to use my next test as a confirmation as to whether I'm really in the 700's

All I can really say is that Truvada broke my pooper. Even years after having been switched off of it, I have never been able to poop properly like a normal person ever since. That said though, it did keep me alive and otherwise healthy for many years, so I guess compared to some of the other possible long term effects, a broken pooper is a small price to pay to still be able to be alive and otherwise healthy.
