It's very common. HIV affects your entire body including your brain. There's alot of research out there about it.

I retired at 58 because I could see that my cognitive abilities had fallen below my comfort level. I have no diagnosis of dementia or related condition, so disability was not an option. The anxiety of not trusting my memory and skills lead me to finding a way to wrap up my career a little early. I depend on my husband more than I would like to admit.

What a loaded question …
Age vs meds vs virus …
And the question - remembering - what ?

My memory is shot after twenty years of being HIV positive! I even take Prevagen and still forget many things, I think that it is natural!

I'm in the same situation with nolarex. My memeory changes seemed to be immediate. I forget to turn off the sink, I forget I'm cooking. I've replaced my drivers licence at least 3 times. Not only do I loose things. For some reason I can't see anything black. So if it's black, It's gone forever. I just lost a black I phone in my car. I found it 6 months later between the seats. I looked there. But I couldn't see it. Because of all the other black seat parts in the car. I work in mortgages by trade. Right now it's been slow for the past 12 months. Leaving me laid off. I've been studying for my insurance adusters license. I'm scared to death. Not only do I have to pass the test. I also have to learn a new job. From everything I've seen with my performance. This is going to be a mess.
