Songs bring back memories. What is the song in your life that you remember from a situation, a memory or something else?

When I first came out I met a man named Dan Carmichael. He was my first gay friend. He died of AIDS. I remember one day he and I went to Central Park in New York City. There's a bridge there called The Rainbow Bridge and it was there that he and I parttook in a blunt and shared a moment as a song played on someone's radio. I will never forget that moment. This is to you Dan, please continue to watch over me.

You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban. This song reminds me of my late mama. She was resilient and had positive approach towards life . Her values and Liberal personality moulded who I became. When I am down I ask myself, what would Mama do?
