This Is For Single Working People. Medication Costs?

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

So I'm going back to work full-time and will lose disability benefits sooner than later but I have to get back to work and do something with my life and I'm wondering if anyone else out there is able to pay for these medications with there employer insurance while making $40k a year? If so how much are you guys spending per month out of pocket? Thanks.

look on your meds website and see if you can get a co pay card. I think mine pays for $5000 or so a year.

For Pennsylvania, you can earn up to $59,400 and have your HIV meds covered under ADAP.

I make $35k a year and I pay $0. I have my ACA insurance (Obamacare)medical AND adap (aids drug assistance program). Depending on the state you live in, you can make anywhere from 200% up to 500% above the poverty level to qualify.
If you have a medical case manager, ask about ADAP also known as Ryan White program.
My ADAP not only covers the cost of my medications, but also pays for the premium of my medical insurance.
