@A myHIVteam Member if you're not hearing from the nurses, that is when you contact your medical case manager. Your medical case manager can make appointments for you.
Also, don't wait for them to call you. Right after you see the doctor, make your next appointment right there an then.

Dude, you need to take the bull by the horn and not wait for them to contact you.
What you should do is call them, every day if you have to, irritate the hell out of the HIV specialist's office staff and don't relent. You have a right to comprehensive care and follow up. The stigma surrounding HIV compels people to dismiss us and not take our position seriously enough. Fight for your rights and never wait for them to respond. The fight is not over for our community. Never ever settle for less. You Rock! Because you are going to make this happen and it come out in your favor, and they will respond immediately and take care of you because you are important enough. Be the squeaky wheel that gets taken care of. Aloha!

I have gone through the same i have a primary care who knows nothing about HIV, so when i need to know anything or if something is wrong i have to make an appointment with my HIV specialist i have known him for years but its a pain to have to wait for a call from his nursing staff to make an appointment. I have to change one of my meds before January in order to have a surgery done and i still have not heard from anyone. It can be very annoying.
