Members warmly responded to the question about living with pets, sharing how their animals bring joy, companionship, and even life-changing support. Several members described service and emotional support animals that assist with mobility, diabetes monitoring, and mental health, with one member sharing the touching story of losing a beloved dog while still relying on two others for daily care. A recurring theme was that pets offer unconditional love and a sense of purpose, whether it is a velcro dog, a cat keeping someone company while living alone, or even a Roomba named Rover.

Odin is my protector and a goofball. He doesn't let me be lazy and he's my constant companion. Definitely a velcro dog but he's the goodest boy ever.

I had a parrot for 25 years. That ended in 2015. I had the experience of raising a forever toddler, whose complicated behavior was sometimes unpredictable. But, his intelligence and speech regularly surprised me.

Cat. He's my home companion. I live by myself. A furry child is necessary.
