If You Had The Chance To Colonize Mars. Would You Go?
A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

If you had a guaranteed ART treatment there. Would you move to mars? Ive always dreamed of being in a mars colony. Though now with our shared diagnosis, thats much harder.

If you could go, and not worry about the HIV, would you? Also, what would you wanna do there? What would you bring to a new world?

Id wanna experiment with growing garden spaces!

I’d love to go see more of the universe and attempt to colonies it into a plant thriving with nature and life and leave it without human interruption

I have frostbite on both feet now, might as well go to Mars and finish the job on the hands and head, LOL.
Yes, I would go if I was given the chance. I've lived my life here on Earth, and I am ready for the next venture while I still have years left to go.

We have microclimates here in Hawaii that resemble Mars.
I would go, just for a visit and the scenery, so long as I can come home.
And, mostly to get to experience Martian Sex 😛

Why worry about HIV since going there would provide the hope of better HIV ART therapies. It could be a new colonized planet just for us HIV'ers to live and thrive and start new families. Everyone would plant and maintain lovely gardens growing our own sustenance. To become a Martian Citizen, you would have to be undetectable and submit to experimental ART therapies developed in our new world. HIV negative citizens will be allowed as well since the risk of transmission would be negligible due to the advancement of our therapies.
A master planned community. Visualize it! Maybe not in my lifetime but we never know. Many things that exist today were never dreamt of 50 years ago or even less than 50. Dream on team... give our newer generations something to strive for. It's never too late, but might be for our planet, so let's go elsewhere!
