The booster shot is going to be administered to Everyone starting September 20th. Moderna and Phizer, regardless of one's health conditions. Including 12 years old now that it has been given full authorization. Moderna should follow. J&J is waiting on approval for a 2nd dose. If you have a compromised immune system, you qualify for the booster, unless your Primary doctor says no. Don't Wait! Get it now, it is going to get worse by the winter! First of all everyone is using the terminology wrong. As a HIV immune compromised patients we needed a THIRD shot simply to get to where everyone else is with their protection with only TWO shots.
This is the THIRD shot we should’ve gotten all along but they didn’t discover until recently we needed a additional injection to get the same protection everyone was getting with only TWO.
Eventually we will all need a BOOSTER shot but this is not what we’re getting.
This is the third shot we should’ve gotten months ago.
going back to your original question yes we need to recommend everybody with immune compromised illness getting their THIRD shots simply to catch up with protection every NON Immune compromised person already has.

Tom I understand in Florida they may be giving out the vaccines to HIV patients. But the CDC stipulates only h i v advanced cases such as people with AIDS and all compromised people. Please remember Tom that HIV does not necessarily mean that we are immune compromised there are healthy HIV people that are on medication. Please don't confuse those who want the shot now but are not eligible until the CDC allows the general population first. I got mine because I am categorically a person with AIDS because of my low T cells and the symptoms and side effects and long-term setbacks that I've had ... but this not does not apply to a healthy person with HIV.😁
