I am nervous about getting, the vaccine. I don’t know what to do. I may ask my doctor, when I see him, on the 19th of May.

I've had both of my doses. The 2nd was the worst with a sore arm at the injection site for like 3 days.

The side effects are very minimal in comparison to what could happen to anyone with HIV and then catching the covid19 without being vaccinated.
Last year I caught the covid19 and did not need hospital time. In my favor I had quit smoking tobacco before catching it and my HIV meds have already beefed up my immune system to minimize any downtime from covid. Quarantine time and retesting were my inconveniences.
Get the shot, it is in our best interest to protect ourselves. Has anyone died from the vaccine? No, I didn't think so. Has anyone died from the covid19? Yes, as of 2 days ago 3 million 185 thousand people have died from the covid19.
What is creating the fear? The needle? Other peoples opinions about it?
Lack of information? It is on each of us to educate ourselves and make the decision.
A woman that I have worked with for many years passed away last Tuesday April 27 after catching covid19 and battling the virus for 5 weeks at Maui memorial hospital. She did not get vaccinated unfortunately because the vaccine was just becoming widely available on Maui. It is now available for anyone 16 years and up living in Hawaii. This is how far we have come with this since the WHO had confirmed it as a pandemic. Get off the fence and make a decision.

It is natural to feel apprehensive... I had my GP and ID mine 4 weeks ago and I didn't have any problems at all. Both my GP and ID wanted me to take it. Besides the soreness on the injection site for about two days, I didn't have any other effects. So talk to your doctor and go for it. I had the Moderna.
