For Seniors On Social Security Income, Veterans And Disabled Citizens, Have You Received The Current Stimulus Check?

A myHIVteam Member asked a question πŸ’

Like myself who have been disabled due to AIDS, I have yet to receive this current check. I received the two last prior checks directly but this third one seems, we are the last to receive it. After inquiry and calls to my Senator and House Representative, I think we have an answer from the Social Security Administration regarding our checks. I have attached the following article stating that SSA released the file to the IRS with all the information, for those of us, who are entitled to the… read more

Members who receive Social Security, SSI, SSDI, or veterans benefits shared their experiences waiting for the third stimulus payment, with many initially frustrated by delays but ultimately receiving deposits between mid-March and early April 2021. Several members offered practical advice, including checking the IRS 'Get My Payment' tool to track deposit dates, verifying that direct deposit information was current with the IRS, and understanding that deposits typically occurred on Tuesdays or Thursdays in waves rather than all at once. A recurring theme was patience mixed with advocacy, as members contacted senators and representatives about delays caused by administrative holdups between the Social Security Administration and IRS, computer glitches, and the staggered rollout affecting over 30 million federal benefit recipients.

Yeah Michael unfortunately anything that's worthwhile takes time. And we're in an era that no one has any compassion or patience just a lot of anger and self-loathing. But I have faith that we are coming to the Pinnacle of a great space for all of us πŸŒΈπŸŒΈπŸŒΈπŸŒΈπŸŒΈπŸŒˆπŸ™πŸ‘πŸ’•

For the first stimulus, I got a check. For the second one, I got a debit card. Why can't they just add to the last debit card? Now I am just waiting.

Nope I’m still waiting like I had to do when the first one came out. The second one I got instantly. Hopefully I won’t have to wait too long
